"The Key", was produced, engineered, and mixed by Jeff Murphy, of the band SHOES, (who also produced Material Issue, including "Valerie Loves Me", Local H, Tommy Keene).  The record was recorded and mixed in just two weeks, Dec. 6th - 18th, at Short Order Recorder, in Zion, IL, just north of Chicago.  Chris Zogby handled the drums and percussion, Mike played guitars, bass, and vocals.
