Getting Ready For SXSW

The schedule is up, my flight is booked, starting to get my plans together... now if I can just figure out this podcasting thing, I'll be in good shape... and this (by a very smart person indeed) is where I'll start:

Café Saint-Ex

DCist: iPods Make the Big Time

(IOTA extended family-member) Jay Jenk is making news with his new endeavor Café Saint-Ex. I have yet to attend an iPod night there, but it's certainly the friendliest stop along 14th street NW.

Finn Brothers At The Birchmere Monday

The Finn Brothers are at The Birchmere this Monday, I am really looking forward to this show. Haven't bought the new record yet, but the clips sound great; looks like there are still tickets available. Good review in The Indianapolis Star from their show Tuesday night.

Online guitar tuner - E A D G B E

Never bother with expensive stage guitar tuners again... simply bring along your computer, speakers and Wi-Fi connection, and you're good to go.

Pump Up The Volume

IMAGE: Blown Speaker I was listening back to the vocal rehearsal "tapes" from last night (pretty good actually) and started turning it up when I noticed a strange distortion sound (which I'd heard a couple weeks ago too)... decided to have a look at the speakers, and... shit!

The end of an era for City Park Sound... speaker BLOWN.
