First-Gen iPad Price Cut
“As noted by CNET contributor Jim Dalrymple on his personal blog The Loop, AT&T today cut the price of the original iPad with 3G by $100, putting the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models on sale at $429, $529, and $629 respectively. By comparison, those units cost $629, $729, and $829 when they were first released.”

iOS 7 and iTunes Radio Today
Apple is releasing the incredible-looking iOS 7 update today, with over 200 new features, including iTunes Radio, a free, streaming radio service. Historically, 1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT has been their preferred timing for OS update releases, hopefully that will hold true for today. Very interested to see how iTunes Radio works, and how it compares with Spotify, Pandora, etc.CNET’s update preparation guide has some good tips for ensuring a smooth update… looking forward to this!
Apple ID Now Allows Two-Step Verification
Apple now offers optional two-step verification for Apple ID, the key to an Apple account, which controls iOS devices, iCloud, iTunes and Apple Support. Google already has two-step verification, and this feature goes a long way toward making online accounts stronger in the current “threat landscape,” as security experts say. With the new Apple feature turned on, both a password and a four-digit verification code sent to an iOS device will be required to allow sign-in. All cloud storage services should follow suit.
