Wow… I have seen many of these videos around the Web before, but the folks who develop the JoniMitchell.com Website continue to find ever more obscure video footage to add to their already amazingly comprehensive site. The clip embedded below is from 1995 on The Jay Leno Show… Joni’s accompanied only by the excellent Brian Blade (originally recommended to her by Daniel Lanois, I believe). This appears to be part of her transition into using midi and synth guitars to address her multiple open tunings (and back pain) issues, and is before she settled into using Parker Fly guitars. And though the appearance is in promotion for Turbulent Indigo, the tune is from the yet-to-be-released Taming The Tiger…
