Apple’s acquisition of Beats music service last August signaled their possible interest in offering a streaming service of their own to compete with Spotify, Rdio and others… 9to5Mac is reporting some details on their progress:

The partnership with ArtistLink by Topspin, announced one year ago to enable the sale of retail merchandise has been discontinued; CDs and other merch can still be listed on Spotify through the BandPage platform:
